The Child and Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC) is part of the Department of Psychiatry at UC San Diego and physically located at Rady Children's Hospital. CASRC researchers study the implementation of evidence-based practices for children with a range of mental health and developmental problems in community care settings.
The incumbent will assist the PI, Study Coordinators and research teams with a variety of tasks supporting studies being conducted in the lab. Primary responsibilities include: oversee participant compensation, administrative and study inventory and purchasing, and report development; oversee and provide training to research assistants and student interns to ensure timely project completion and to ensure project timelines are maintained; review and revise staff produced data and reports to meet research objective; develop systems for and oversee participant maintenance including recruitment, scheduling and tracking of all participant groups. Participates in the collection and management of standardized assessment data maintenance including collecting, coding, scoring, entering study data.
The incumbent will also actively participate as a key member of the research team by implementing and documenting various tasks associated with data management, data capturing, data access, and data extraction; participate in the planning, design, development, implementation and administration of data systems that may include Microsoft SharePoint, secure file transfer systems such as ShareFile, web based survey platforms such as Qualtrics. General project tasks including preparing meeting minutes, leading lab meetings, literature searches, report and manuscript preparation. Additional projects may be assigned as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.
A minimum of two (2+) or more years of relevant experience.
Working knowledge of research discipline, principles, concepts, analysis and / or operations being conducted at field/remote sites.
Demonstrates attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize workload and work independently. Ability to work with a team, and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Proficient research and analytical skills. Proven knowledge to develop audit protocols and implement protocols to ensure the quality of study data.
Proven experience developing and implementing study protocols to oversee recruitment of study participants.
Demonstrated ability to determine data management methods, determine modifications to improve integrity of study data; help support implementation of those modifications.
Experience to develop and implement study protocols to oversee data collection from study participants and serve as point of contact for study participant for ongoing data collection.
Proven knowledge to assist research supervisors with initial approval submissions submitted to external oversight agencies such as the institutional review board (IRB) and the Human Subjects Research Committee (HSRC).
Demonstrated experience to conduct literature reviews for grant submissions and manuscript preparation.
Strong communication skills with project team members. Proven ability to maintain and protect confidentiality of participant information.

Must have the teleworking capacity to ability to provide education and training remotely using telehealth delivery.
