The USDA-Agricultural Research Service Soil and Water Conservation Research Unit (SWCRU) in Adams, Oregon invites applications for a full-time, permanent Research Plant (or Crop) Physiologist at GS 12 or 13. The scientist will join a multidisciplinary team focused on the productivity and profitability of dryland agricultural systems within the Columbia Plateau and adjacent lands. The incumbent will evaluate facets of plant stress including the physiological and/or genetic mechanisms; stress-tolerance potentials of alternative and conventional crops; and management strategies for reducing plant-environmental stress.
