The Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has an outstanding opportunity for a half-time (50% FTE) Research Study Coordinator 1 position. The study will design, conduct, and evaluate a study aimed at increasing and supporting the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention among HIV-negative cismen and trans* who use methamphetamine. The Research Study Coordinator 1 will support study operations and will provide support to participants. Responsibilities - Set up in-person meetings with study participants. - Provide education around PrEP and provide referrals to local resources for substance use, mental health, and housing, as desired by participants - Assist study participants with insurance and drug assistance paperwork. - Schedule and assist participants with study visits and pharmacy refills, potentially including attending clinical visits, assisting in transportation, or delivering medications. - Contact study participants via phone and text message to check-in and remind them of visits and procedures and support medication adherence. - Conduct the text messaging intervention. - Engage in participant retention activities.
