Position DescriptionThe Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma invites applications for one Assistant Teaching Professor of Finance (non-tenure track), to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance. This position has a 9-month service period, is eligible for a multi-year appointment, and begins on September 16, 2021. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a record of involvement, participation, and/or leadership within their pedagogical or practitioner communities that maintains qualification required for accreditation (AACSB) purposes. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory business finance and other advanced courses in an urban-serving campus environment which includes many first-generation college students. The course load varies from 7-8 classes depending on qualifications, experience, and courses taught. The successful candidate will also assist in the development of curriculum, promote continuous improvement, and actively collaborate with colleagues in service of our school and university's mission. At a minimum, candidates must have a master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in finance or a similar business-related degree. Qualifications include at least one year experience teaching finance, developing curriculum, and teaching in multiple modalities, including online, hybrid and in-person.
