Position Description

The School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences (IAS) at the University of Washington Bothell (UW Bothell) seeks dynamic educators who have expertise in interdisciplinary pedagogy and portfolio-based teaching. Successful candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to innovative and effective pedagogy; ability to address questions of diversity, equity and inclusion in courses; and expertise in working with diverse student populations. Candidates need to be prepared to teach courses in areas of curricular need in the context of an interdisciplinary and portfolio-based curriculum. Full list of majors and courses.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements for the position include:

• Ph.D., MFA, or equivalent professional experience required by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated commitment to innovative and effective pedagogy
• Demonstrated ability to teach courses in area of specialization in the context of an interdisciplinary and portfolio-based curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to address questions of diversity, equity and inclusion in courses and scholarship
• Expertise in working with diverse student populations
