Occupational Therapist

Make a difference in the lives of children! Achievement Center for Therapy is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist for a position in sunny Camarillo, CA. This is a very part-time position in a private practice setting, working beside SLP's and BCBA's and other Therapists and professionals alike. This position is highly flexible in terms of your weekly schedule. You may review notes remotely, and see 1-2 patients per week for Evaluations, and attend any case management meetings and monthly staff meetings. We have three dedicated and highly skilled COTA's that require minimum support and direction.

Located in Camarillo, CA, Achievement Center for Therapy proudly serves the families of lovely Ventura County. Just between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, Ventura County is a beautiful beach county with lots of life and character. The Achievement Center for Therapy facility is state of the art; providing each employee with ample space for individual and group therapy. Therapists have access to private therapy rooms, feeding therapy rooms, an observation room, and a motor-sensory gym.

Minimum Requirements:

• A passion for working with pediatrics
• A graduate of OT program accredited by ACOTE or equivalent per California OT Board requirements
• Current valid CA license as an Occupational Therapist or license applicant status
• Must be able to provide proof of current TB Test (within 60 days)
• CPR/ First Aid certification
• Great Communication Skill set - to be able to work closely with our Team of SLP's, BCBA and COTA's to help further the progress of our kiddos with a more advanced Integrative approach to Therapy.

Essential Functions:

• Conducts discipline-specific patient evaluations, assessments, consultations, and treatment, as a member of an interdisciplinary team in accordance with program protocol and federal and state regulations and guidelines.
• Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals.
• Provides accurate, timely documentation of patient evaluations.
• Evaluate the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Confer with the patient, medical practitioners, and appropriate others to plan, implement and assess the intervention program.
• Direct and supervise supportive personnel, assessing their competence, delegating specific tasks to them and establishing channels of communication.
• Develop and update the appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and related to the person's age and lifestyle with measurable long and short-term goals.
