Baylor Scott & White Continuing Care Hospital PART TIME - Infection Prevention Practitioner I 20 hours a week
The Infection Prevention Practitioner I provides surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI); educating employees about infection prevention; and the development of health system policies and procedures to endure rigorous infection control standards that meet JC, OSHA, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services, Centers for Disease control and prevention (CDC) and other nationally organized agencies’ recommendations and requirements. The job duties of the Infection Prevention Practitioner I include, but are not limited to: Coordinates infection and control activities applying Epidemiologic principles and statistical methods, including risk stratification, and design and evaluate prevention and control strategies.
The ideal candidate for the Infection Prevention Practitioner I role will be able to participate in continuing educational activities, professional meetings and peers networking, and review published literature to maintain current knowledge commensurate with the latest research and scholarly knowledge pertaining to healthcare and infection and control. Required minimum with no previous Infection Prevention experience is an Associates Degree in Nursing, or Registered Medical Technologist or Bachelor's Degreee in Epidemiology, Microbiology, Public Health or other appropriate Health Science Discipline
