DESCRIPTION
Under the direction Of the Director of Anatomic Pathology and AP Supervisor develops, implements and performs technical procedures within the Cytopathology Laboratory of Anatomic Pathology. Additional duties include technical training; CAP and TJC readiness; clerical; telephone; and communication with laboratory customers, Pathologists and others.
This position will remain open until filled.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Cytotechnologist license from the CDPH.
Certification as Cytotechnologist from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Registry; or equivalent.
Previous relevant experience.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree.
Three (3) years Cytotechnologist and/or Histologist experience.
Lead experience.
Lab processing of GYN & various Non-GYN specimens.
Thin Prep certification.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
