Status: Full-time staff (10 months), 40 hours/week, benefits (no vacation)

Position Overview:
Crossroads Athletic Training staff supports the needs of over 500 student-athletes the three divisions at Crossroads School (Elementary, Middle, and Upper). This is a full time staff position that works only 10 months during the year. This position is primarily responsible for managing the health and safety of Crossroads’ Student-Athletics before during and after athletics practices and competition. Normal work hours vary based on practice and game schedules, which fluctuate season to season. A “typical work day” is Monday-Friday and may vary due to team schedules and coverage needs. Extended hours during the winter season include late night coverage until 9 or 10 pm as well as Saturday game coverage. Holiday break coverage (winter and spring) may vary and will be determined by the Athletics Director.

Essential Job Functions:
• Assist in creating a safe and welcoming environment for the student athletes
• Support, mentor and work closely with part-time athletic trainers
• Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation services for all student-athletes
• Clearly communicate with the Athletic Trainers, Athletic Directors, Coaches, Parents, Teachers and Administrators about athletic injuries when and where appropriate
• Maintain proper inventory and care of athletic training supplies, equipment,
• Assist with creating a bi-annual supply order (Fall and Spring) based on current budget allowances.
• Accurately/Timely track student visits/treatments in an EMR log (Magnus Health)
• Maintain accurate records of incident reports and MD clearance notes
• Support in management and approval of all Annual Athletic physicals (PPE’s) and report status to administrative assistant as a part of overall eligibility
• Communicate athletic clearance (injury status) with coaches
• Facilitate MD visits for families upon request
• Support with annual physical exam event with CHLA
• Update, maintain and rehearse EAP’s
• Weekly meeting with the Athletics Department
• Help coordinate post-concussion care of athletes RTP/ RTL and concussion management for all Crossroads students grade 6-12
• Work with athletics department and coaches to coordinate schedule and proctoring of baseline neurocognitive testing
