Non-Essential (Additional) Job Functions: • Has strong verbal skills for communicating with coaches/parents/school administration/physicians re: student athletes injury status • Has strong writing skills for communicating with coaches/parents/school administration/physicians re: student athletes injury status via email • Required Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Maintains Current CPR certification • Maintains a certification in good standing with the BOC. Has valid NPI#. • Has strong knowledge/ understanding of current California and CIF Concussion Laws and • RTL/RTP protocols • Is comfortable using an online EMR system (familiarity with Magnus Health a plus) • Is comfortable administering SCAT5, BESS and ImPACT Neurocognitive tests (possibly others) • 3+ years’ experience as an AT in a secondary school/Middle School • Work closely with other licensed health care providers on/off campus (MD’s, Nurses, PT’s, Counselors, Psychologists) to ensure proper diagnosis of physical/ mental health issues to ensure that students are receiving the highest standard of care • Is proficient in initiating and modifying PT/Home EX programs for student athletes • Is willing to travel (by bus) with our teams to away venues along with possible seasonal tournament travel. • Flexible hours: available/ willing to work some Saturdays and late nights game and practice coverage • Has experience with emerging modalities including but not limited to: kinesiology taping, IASTM techniques etc. • Is proficient in prophylactic taping a bracing techniques
Physical Demands: • Is able to lift approximately 50lbs (injury ice and water coolers) • Is able to use a personal vehicle to transport ice/water kit and emergency supplies to off- campus home practices and games • Is able to jog lightly to attend to an injured player One of Crossroads School’s founding commitments is to developing a socially, economically and racially diverse student body.
