The Director of Central Washington Home Care Services serves as the Administrator and assumes accountability and responsibility for all Home Health and Hospice Department clinical services and is responsible for the overall quality of service and for planning, developing, organizing, integrating and directing clinical programs, staff and budget in support of organizational goals and commitments.
Establishes effective working relationships and coordinates program development with medical staff, administration, and other departments and service line groups of the organization.
Development and oversight of the annual budget and exercises mature judgment in properly controlling aspects of the agency’s financial operation.
Develops and implements new programs as indicated in order to meet identified needs, improve clinical outcomes and support the continuum of patient care.
Assumes the responsibility for the design of workflow policies, procedures and office practices in accordance with up to date organization policy and state, federal and accreditation regulation.
Assumes responsibility for coordination of and participation in performance improvement activity development in accordance with organizational plans and policy and state, federal, and accreditation rules and regulations.
Provides and supports educational opportunities and activities.
Participates in agency information management and maintains staff communication that coordinates implementation of plans of care and the use of necessary services for comprehensive care of patients.
Hires qualified personnel and participates in performance evaluation, coaching and discipline processes.
Keeps abreast of industry changes in regulation, reimbursement and participates in state/national associations as applicable.
Serves as the lead of the Home Health Professional Advisory Board.
Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.
Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Public Administration, or related business/clinical field with six years relevant leadership experience.
3 years of experience in Home Health and/or Hospice.
Current license in a health care field to practice in Washington State.
Current knowledge of Federal, State, and accreditation regulations and requirements.
Must obtain CHVS Leader Certification within one year of hire.
An understanding of financial management, budgeting skills and a commitment to the provision of cost effective care.
Knowledge of continuous quality improvement, leadership process knowledge and skills.
Master's degree in applicable field.
