What will you be doing:
This role is a blend of systems and architectural skills and collaboration with clinicians and researchers. The goal is to design, build, maintain and support a world class research data and compute infrastructure.
The Manager, Research Data Services is responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering systems to support sophisticated and varied operational and research workloads in a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment. This role manages provisioning project and role-based access to system resources for clinical and research end-users.
Collaborates with other leaders and staff within EIS in support and optimization of storage, compute, and provisioning systems (containers, SAAS, PAAS), and creates operational level agreements internally.
Develops and implements creative, performant, and efficient solutions to support sophisticated technical challenges with large compute and storage requirements.
Provides planning, analysis, leadership, and oversight for the entire technology management lifecycle for assets contained within the Cedars Sinai Advanced Analytics stack
Establishes relationships, sets expectations, and conducts communications with operations department management at the supervisor, manager, and director levels, and with physician leadership, related to clinical end-user support and support level agreements.
Has overall responsibility for delivery and support reporting, requirements gathering, planning, impact analysis, and resources/budgeting.
5+ years' experience in a progressive leadership/management capacity.
Supporting sophisticated architecture and compute demands in a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment.
7+ years overall IT experience. (healthcare environment, Epic experience preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study. (preferred)
