This provides internal checking and quality control of activities relating to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) project administration, while performing complex administrative and technical duties, as well as customer service responsibilities.
Reviews transactions, proposal submissions, award documents and procedures to assure compliance with federal and state regulations and internal controls; prepares documentation to enter award terms and other financial information into the PVAMU System accounting and research administration systems which includes budget, revenue, regulations, billing requirements, administrative cost distribution, cost sharing commitments and reporting requirements.
Provides maintenance and administration of federal appropriations projects and related cost sharing accounts; starts financial close-out of projects.
Provides and coordinates advanced professional level activities relating to sponsored programs; coordinates and performs accounts receivables activities.
Provides assistance to Coordinator with scheduling meetings with camp directors and other University entities to ensure timely cross-institutional planning for all camps and bridge programs; support the coordination meetings with summer programs managers who host summer bridge programs for incoming freshmen.
Compiles award information for budget, compliance regulations, billing requirements, indirect cost distribution and cost sharing commitments and ensures compliance with any other terms and conditions of the project. Provides service as a subject matter expert and act as financial liaison with the Research Compliance Office.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Three years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
