Under general supervision, the Rehabilitative Services Aide reports to the therapists of a particular service and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. Primary functions include performing selected patient treatments under the direct supervision of a PT /OT/SLP, assisting in patient treatment, departmental and equipment maintenance, clerical duties and other activities as directed.
The Rehabilitation Services Aide works primarily with adult and geriatric patients from a diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, although pediatric and adolescent patients may also be treated. May be assigned to flex or float between sites, clinical areas in IP or OP care as well as weekend/holiday coverage as needed. Actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, in services and staff development activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.
A minimum of two (2) years of related experience or education/training.
Skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Volunteering experience in a rehab setting or related medical setting.
Previous education in Kinesiology, Athletic Training or Movement Science and Anatomy.
Experience in customer service.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
