The Division of Infectious Diseases at Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking a clinically oriented academic physician at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to enhance clinical programs in outpatient and inpatient General and Transplant Infectious Diseases.
The Mayo Clinic Arizona Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking a physician consultant in adult infectious diseases for an expanding academic hospital and outpatient based practice at our Arizona campus. The Arizona.Bold.Forward initiative is greatly expanding our Arizona footprint. This ongoing expansion includes a $748 million dollar billion campus expansion including a new hospital wing, additional clinic space, parking and a new education and research building for the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. The Infectious Diseases practice serves the medical and surgical practices and the nation’s 4th largest solid organ transplant program. Current infectious disease specialty focuses include Solid Organ Transplantation, Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Coccidioidomycosis, Cardiovascular infections, Neurosurgical infections, Orthopedic infections, Travel Clinic, Fecal Microbiota Transplantation, Prevention and Control of Healthcare associated Infections, Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
The division currently consists of 6 physicians and two advanced practice practitioners who are engaged in a busy clinical outpatient and consultative inpatient practice, research and education. The division is also home to the only Infectious Diseases fellowship in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Faculty will be involved in the training of infectious disease fellows, residents, and medical students and will be expected to be academically and clinically productive.
Qualified candidates must be ABIM board eligible or certified in Infectious Diseases, possess excellent interpersonal skills, is team oriented and motivated to succeed clinically and academically. The division is looking to expand its expertise with an individual with a specialty focus. The position includes an academic appointment within the Mayo Clinic, Alix College of Medicine. This position is not able to support J-1 VISA status applicants.
