The Design & Partnership Lab (daplab), directed by Dr. June Ahn designs technologies to improve education that can make an impact in local communities, and studies how we might improve the educational experience of diverse learners. Applies professional programming concepts for the Design and Partnership Lab, directed by Dr. June Ahn. Plans, designs, codes, tests, deploys, and maintains web applications and apps developed from the lab's research design. Compensation Range: $25.62 hourly Department Website: https://education.uci.edu/ Required: Preferred one-three years of experienceBachelors' degree in Computer Science, relevant field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.Knowledge of secure software development. Intermediate skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts. Knowledge of other IT related areas. Demonstrated software repository skills. Experience with common programming tools. Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Preferred: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery Experience with Vue.js, React, or a comparable JavaScript web framework.
