Responsibilities Under the direction of the LOA Centralized Services leadership, and under the consult of Disability Management Services, the successful applicant will review and triage all incoming leave of absence requests. This position serves as the initial point of contact for FML/MLOA/CFRA/Personal/WC/Light Duty/Military as well as any and all leaves in the Collective Bargaining Agreements and UC Policy PPSM 2.210. This position assists with data collection, detailed reoccurring reports and support for collective bargaining units such as CNA, UPTE, AFSCME, CUE, etc. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and organization with the ability to acquire skills and knowledge to follow implementation of work process. Incumbent must possess an entry level of analytical abilities; with high organization and priority setting abilities. Strong word-processing, grammar, and proofreading skills also required. Must be able to maintain composure under stress and have strong interpersonal skills to professionally interact with all levels of employees, including C-Suite executives, within the UC Davis Health System. Required Qualifications Applicants are encouraged to upload license and certification if required of the position.
High school diploma or GED and equivalent experience / training.
Entry level of analytical abilities; with high organization and priority setting abilities.
Demonstrated computer-related skills to utilize various software programs including ECM/Onbase downloading, time and attendance systems, leave processing systems, adobe/PDF, MS Office.
Ability to acquire an understanding of federal and state laws regarding FML/CFRA, leaves in the Collective Bargaining Agreements and leaves covered under UC Policy PPSM 2.210.
Skills to maintain confidentiality; to use excellent judgment in determining whether materials are sensitive and/or confidential and to handle with appropriate discretion. Must be resourceful and diplomatic at all times.
Demonstrated excellent customer service and professionalism, including the ability to handle difficult, sensitive, and confidential matters.
Strong communication skills to advise, communicate and present information clearly and concisely with all levels of staff in order to secure understanding and cooperation.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Experience in an HR setting.
