Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Coordinate daily business operations related to housing, including logistics, safety and security, IT coordination, and project management.
Customer Support: Serve as a key point of contact for residents, parents, campus departments, and the public, providing accurate information and resolving complex issues with care and professionalism.
Process Development: Create and maintain standard operating procedures, handbooks, and internal policies to support consistent and effective service delivery.

Position Information
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible permanent/probationary position.
This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
Department Summary
The Office of Housing Administration (OHA) is a self-funded operation responsible for planning, providing, and administering housing operations, services, and facilities with over 100 employees and over 150 student assistants with an annual operating budget exceeding $145,000,000. OHA provides housing for over 8,900 students in 25 communities with over 2 million sq. ft. of residential facilities. The OHA manages the operation of residence halls, apartments, and conference and event spaces. The OHA supports the educational mission of the Residential Education Office (REO) while providing business operations for all housing-related functions in support of a quality environment to enhance the student educational experience

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.
These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.
Key Qualifications
Customer service experience communicating by phone, text messaging, and email.
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist.
Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area.
Ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas.
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in a related field is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications Required
Valid California Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,279 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,058 - $6,653 per month.
