You will work closely with partners, associates and clients across the private and public sectors, contributing to the successful delivery of planning advice and outcomes. This role will offer exposure to a diverse workload and opportunities to make a direct contribution to team performance and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional planning advice across residential, commercial, retail, and leisure sectors

• Manage and support planning instructions under the guidance of senior team members

• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and local authorities to deliver timely, commercially focused advice

• Contribute to team billings, project delivery, and profitability targets

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, both independently and in collaboration with wider teams

• Support internal and external networking to raise profile and uncover cross-selling opportunities

Person specification

• Solid understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation

• Strong communication and report writing skills

• Client-focused mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships

• Commercially aware with an interest in business development

• A team player who is proactive, reliable, and well organised

• Awareness of market trends and local planning context

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in town planning or a related field

• MRTPI accredited (or working towards)
