Banner University Medicine Tucson is actively seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Supervisor to join the Division of Neonatology at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson. This position is involved in the support of a NICU Level 4 team of clinical faculty and covering up to 20 patients on the residents-led team, and up to 16 patients on the NNP-led team. Duties include attending all high-risk deliveries, teach/assist/perform procedures including intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management, and participate as an NRP instructor. This position requires working closely with Physicians and other clinicians in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Supervisor, you will oversee a team of 15 professional NNPs. The supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, performance evaluations, mentoring, coaching, and regular updates to team, procedure/protocol development and rollout in partnership with the NICU Medical Director and other leaders.
Required Qualifications:
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with at least three years of supervisory experience
Experience in level III NICUs
Eligible to obtain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing and with prescribing privileges through the Arizona State Board of Nursing
Current NPR and BLS certifications
Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Rotating shifts; days/nights/weekends, no call
