University Health’s Heart and Vascular Institute is actively recruiting for highly skilled cardiologists and cardiovascular providers. University Health, the third largest public health system in Texas, is rapidly growing its cardiovascular service line. Currently, cardiology services are provided across the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Inpatient cardiology services are provided at University Hospital with over 700 beds, 6 cutting-edge catheterization laboratories, a robust cardiovascular ICU with a 24/7 inpatient critical care service, advanced cardiac imaging, a busy VA ECMO program, growing structural heart program, and multidisciplinary PERT and limb salvage teams.
Outpatient ambulatory facilities and imaging span multiple locations across San Antonio. University Health is also preparing for future expansion through two new community hospitals and multiple outpatient clinics with cardiac catheterization laboratories, non-invasive imaging and clinics scheduled to open in early 2027.

Summary:
Mixture of outpatient and inpatient work
Primary work schedule is Monday – Friday except when on call
