Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Assistant Character Formation Coordinator will be given an opportunity to assist the Student Athlete Center for Excellence (SACE) as a member of the Character Formation Team through a variety of responsibilities. Completion of Bachelor's degree (Master's Preferred). Excellent oral and interpersonal communication and analytical and writing skills. Excellent computer (Microsoft Office) skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects at once and meet established work deadlines. Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends. Experience in public speaking, facilitation, social media, and graphic design preferred.
This position is temporary and is expected to run from July 13, 2026, to May 14, 2027.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Provide support with executing programming and providing services to Baylor student-athletes in the areas of Career and Leadership Development, Personal Skills, Social Responsibility, and Community Engagement
Participate in professional development programming designed specifically for assistant's cohort such as NCAA Eligibility, APR training, Effective Facilitation training, book clubs, mock interviews, etc.
Provide support with BEAR Camp (summer bridge), the Baylor Leadership Programs, the Welcome Back event, SAAC, Strategic Learning Course, Golden Bruisers awards event, and other workshops/events
Collection of information for Big 12 and national awards and postgraduate scholarships
Assist with organizing and tracking community engagement opportunities
Meet with prospective student-athletes and their families
Assist Character Formation team and SACE Team with timely completion of projects
Teach STL 1201, a Strategic Learning Course designed for freshmen student-athletes
Serve on two or more of SACE's 7 committees
Assist in the day-to-day operations of SACE
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with university policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
