The Middle School Athletic Director plays a key leadership role in the success of the TMI Episcopal athletic program. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of Middle School athletics, serving as a liaison with the Independent School Athletic League (ISAL), and coordinating athletic communications and digital presence. Additionally, the Middle School Athletic Director is a member of the Athletics Leadership Team and plays a key role in creating and implementing the athletics strategic plan. The Middle School Athletic Director also plays a central role in developing and refining policies and procedures in alignment with TMI’s core values: Wisdom, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Reverence. The Middle School Athletic Director acts as a key cultural ambassador, responsible for recruiting and mentoring mission-appropriate students, coaches, and staff who embrace and contribute to TMI’s culture of Cherishing, Knowing, and Challenging every member of its community.
Founded in 1893, TMI Episcopal (TMI) is the flagship private school of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Located in San Antonio, TMI educates students in grades 6-12 and is the oldest Episcopal Church-sponsored, college-preparatory school in the Southwest. TMI offers an optional JROTC program, and 5-day or 7-day boarding for students in grades 8-12.

TMI recently opened the Walker Innovation Center. The Walker Innovation Center is an 8,000 square foot space that includes a fab-lab maker space, idea labs, a dedicated robotics room, AR/VR lab and a sound and broadcasting space. The Walker Innovation Center is under the direction of our Dean of Innovation and is available to all faculty... to use for stand-alone projects or to facilitate the ongoing integration of Design Thinking and project based learning in an effort to instill in our students the benefits of real-world problem solving.
