The Cedars?Sinai COACH (Community Outreach Assistance for Children?s Health) for Kids mobile medical clinic is dedicated to meeting the immediate medical, behavioral health and community needs of pediatric patients in South Los Angeles who historically have been underserved in these areas. COACH for Kids provides free transitional medical care and social support services while connecting patients and their families to integrated quality healthcare and other community resources. Services are provided in the community Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and periodically on weekends. Service sites include schools, places of worship, public housing developments, WIC (women, infants and children) centers, Head Start centers and other community agencies. Services are provided within the Cedars?Sinai Community Benefit Service area, including Central and South Los Angeles, Watts and Crenshaw.

What will you be doing in this role:
The Community Outreach Coordinator - Per Diem is responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting a variety of outreach activities for the program. Will work closely with leadership to implement and achieve the goals and mission of the program. The Coordinator will ensure the timely completion of work assignments in accordance with established time-lines.
Oversee all front office administrative functions for the mobile clinic, including patient registration, intake, appointment scheduling in CS-Link, and provider template management. Manages provider schedule templates in CS-Link and addresses appointment requests via both the platform and phone line. Support program success by ensuring a smooth clinic experience and contributing to outreach and patient access goals ensuring all work assignments are completed within established timelines.
Work closely with the medical team to ensure smooth clinic operations, coordinate with other staff to organize and prepare for clinic visits and assist in managing front office patient flow at the mobile clinic site.
Support outreach by coordinating site visits. Distribute program materials, interact with residents, and help raise awareness of clinic services
Maintain accurate patient records, assist with reporting and tracking outreach activities.
Participates actively in departmental huddles and staff meetings, occasionally leading discussions or presentations.
Drive to and from site visits and maintain the mobile medical unit (MMU), including daily setup/breakdown, securing parking and site logistics, overseeing vehicle cleanliness and readiness, and ensuring equipment is stored and maintained properly.
Assist in ensuring that the equipment undergoes regular preventive maintenance by clinical engineering.
Assists Clinical Nurse with monitoring and maintaining inventory of supplies and medications.
Transports sealed laboratory specimens (blood, urine, etc.) from MMU to CSMC lab at end of each site day.
To facilitate field clinic and/or special event setup, employees may be required to use their personal vehicles to transport necessary equipment and supplies from the office to the site.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Two (2) plus years of experience participating in community outreach activities.
Educational/Certifications/Licenses Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Heartsaver CPR Certification. (require to obtain within 60-days of hire date)
CA Class A or B Commercial Driver License required.
