Position Summary:
As a Clinical Nurse III in our Non-Invasive Cardiology department at Cedars-Sinai, you will be integral in delivering exceptional nursing care to patients with a range of cardiovascular conditions. Utilizing your advanced clinical skills and knowledge, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing non-invasive cardiology procedures, including TEEs, Cardioversions and stress tests.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including acquiring medical histories, vital signs, and interpreting diagnostic results effectively.
- Prepare patient for procedure, assist Physicians during procedure and recover patients after the procedure.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists and healthcare providers to develop personalized care plans, ensuring the best possible patient outcomes.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of non-invasive cardiology procedures while upholding a safe and sterile environment.
- Mentor and support junior nursing staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and clinical trials aimed at enhancing patient care in cardiology.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
-Specialty Certification (Or within one year of hire)
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a cardiology, Emergency Room or critical care setting.
-Prior procedural area experience preferred
- Proficient knowledge of cardiology and cardiac diagnostic procedures.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
