Detailed Description: The Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of San Diego invites applicants for a benefits-based non-tenure track Teaching Professor position to commence in fall 2026, with the possibility of renewal. The expected teaching load is 3-4 courses per semester. We welcome applicants who are innovative in their pedagogical approaches. The curricular needs for the department vary each semester, so applicants must have the experience or expertise to teach Introductory Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, and potentially upper division courses in their expertise.
This position is included in the Non-tenure Track Bargaining Unit, and the successful applicant employee, subject to the terms of the College's Collective Bargaining will be a bargaining unit member and will be subject to the University's Agreement with SEIU Local 721

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Psychology or a closely related field completed by the time of appointment. Demonstrated experience teaching at the university level. Evidence of effective teaching. Ability to teach courses in person and hold weekly in person office hours.

This appointment is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Teaching Professor, with a monthly salary range of $6,092-6,275, with the final salary determined by whether the candidate holds a non-terminal or terminal degree.Candidates with significant college-level teaching experience may negotiate for appointment at the Senior or Distinguished Teaching Professor rank.
