Salary Range $54,000-$85,000 annually with some limited flexibility for a highly qualified candidate
Relocation support for non-local candidates
BCD elementary school teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Homeroom teacher in a 3-5 elementary division;
Provide a stimulating, creative, and an appropriately challenged or appropriately differentiated educational environment, including opportunities for children to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills;
Use best practices regarding student-centered instruction, collaboration, and authentic assessment;
Participate in ongoing training in literacy, differentiation, and other appropriate topics;
Provide regular and thorough communication to all BCD constituencies (students, parents, and colleagues);
Support enrollment and retention by assisting with tours, events, and other school outreach; and
Perform other duties as directed by the Head of School.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
Demonstrated passion for teaching elementary school children; experience with Responsive Classroom
Bachelor’s in elementary education, Master’s preferred;
At least 3-5 years teaching in elementary grades, preferably grades 3-5;
Knowledge of or background in independent schools;
Ability to differentiate within each class;
Flexibility, ability to work with change, and strengths in innovation; and
Boulder Country Day School is located on 5 acres in Boulder, Colorado. We serve 300 students 2.5 years olds through 8th grade. The Middle School is an approved International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program.
