We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to lead client projects and deliver high-quality work in a collaborative, small-firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial projects for captive and P&C clients, including ratemaking, loss reserving, individual risk rating, and reinsurance analysis.
• Serve as client contact: clearly explain complex technical results to non-technical audiences, including business owners and underwriters.
• Prepare client deliverables (reports, presentations, analyses) and support senior actuarial review.
• Manage multiple projects, identify issues proactively, and deliver on time under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with support staff and senior consultant while working independently with minimal supervision.
• Build strong client relationships and support business development opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of property and casualty actuarial experience (captive or consulting experience strongly preferred).
• ACAS or FCAS designation; near-ACAS may be considered.
• Strong statistical modeling and individual risk rating skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with @Risk, actuarial software, or programming a plus.
• Experience with captive insurance, individual risk rating, commercial property & liability, trucking liability also preferred.
• Excellent communication, report-writing, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with underwriters and non-insurance professionals.
• Strong project management skills, client-focused mindset, and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote setting.
