Stanford University is seeking a Faculty Affairs Administrator 3 to manage faculty affairs function within the Department of Radiology to provide expert guidance on all aspects of faculty employment activities, including appointments, reappointments, promotions, and annual counseling process.
The incumbent will ensure compliance with school and university policies. Incumbent must have strong business acumen, ability to multi-task, be extremely organized & detailed, and self-motivated. We are looking for a team player who has excellent communication skills, both written and speech, that allow high-level interactions with a diverse academic and medical community.
Duties include*:
Supervise and train a team of staff members working in faculty affairs.
Lead operational process to review committees and to mentoring and/or annual counseling of faculty, and make recommendations for process improvement.
Ensure quality of faculty employment activities. Interpret university and school policy, and guide process for all faculty affairs situations and lines; develop and implement best practices for all faculty affairs activities.
Ensure compliance with school and university policies. Manage university faculty conflict of interest requirements for the department or school, as needed.
Provide reporting and analysis for various faculty activities and programs to support strategic planning.
Make recommendations to leadership on strategic planning based on data gathered through reports.
May perform any of the following duties, as needed: draft sections of the appointment and promotion form and correspondence for the dean or department chair, including recommendations for appointment, offer letters, etc.; serve as primary point of contact in onboarding and orienting new faculty to the department, school, and university; and/or supervise staff.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive experience managing faculty appointment, reappointment, promotion, and review processes in an academic setting.
Strong knowledge of university and school policies with the ability to interpret and apply them in complex situations.
Proven ability to provide analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations to support strategic planning.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with faculty, leadership, and committees.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects with accuracy and compliance.
Strong judgment in resolving sensitive or complex faculty affairs issues independently.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and five years of experience working with administrative processes, or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
Elevated level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex administrative processes.
Demonstrated experience training, supervising, and evaluating staff, if supervising.

The expected pay range for this position is $106,656 to $133,055 per annum.
