Job Summary

The Fleet and Equipment Planner uses organizational and logistical assets to coordinate all parts of Public Safety Fleet. Maintains inventory of departmental supplies in a warehouse. Uses leadership and communication skills to monitor and supervise staff. Responds to customer or vendor concerns.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Coordinates fleet functions and related vendor contracts, fleet, uniforms and equipment.
• Coordinates auto service for Public Safety Fleet.
• Maintains accurate inventory of departmental uniforms, equipment and vehicles.
• Issues uniforms and equipment to new employees and recovers upon termination or resignation.
• Meets with stakeholders and vendors for uniforms, vehicles and equipment.

• Ability to provide consistently excellent customer service with lenity, patience and confidence.
• Ability to comprehend the customer's point of view and take ownership of creating a solution to their issues.
• Ability to manage inventory for uniforms and equipment.
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
• General computer skills, including but not limited to: using required software applications, data entry, information security, handheld scanning and email.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
