About California Nurses Association/National Nurses United
The California Nurses Association (CNA)/National Nurses Organizing Committee (NNOC) is leading the national movement for registered nurse power to transform the market-driven health care industry into a health care system based on patient need.
National Nurses United, the nation's largest union of registered nurses, recognizes that providing equal bargaining rights is crucial to improving recruitment and retention and allowing Registered Nurses to advocate freely for patient safety and care. In California the California Nurses Association passed the historic Registered Nurse safe staffing law – the first of its kind nationwide.
