Based in Austin, TMEA is a nonprofit professional association with 20,400 members, including over 14,000 school music educators. On behalf of its members and Texas students, TMEA monitors the actions of state decision-making bodies on issues affecting fine arts instruction. In addition to many member benefits, TMEA offers professional development for its members through online courses and its annual Clinic/Convention that hosts over 30,000 attendees. TMEA supports students' musical development through various auditions and invitational opportunities, fostering their growth and talent.
