UT Health Carthage located in Panola County, boasts 23 private patient rooms. The hospital also features a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.
Responsibilities
Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility for the human and fiscal resources available in order to provide quality, cost-effective patient centered care.
The Charge Nurse will possess and have the capabilities to perform all the major duties and critical tasks of a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
The Charge Nurse will demonstrate honesty, integrity, respectfulness, discretion, responsibility and dependability. Supports the mission and vision of the facility.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse program
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical/hospital setting
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing leadership/management position
Current LVN/LPN licensure in the State of Texas
At least one (1) year LVN/LPN experience in a clinic environment
Must possess and maintain a current LVN license to practice in Texas
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Preferred Job Requirements:
Five (5) years of LVN/LPN experience
At least two (2) years of LVN/LPN experience as a charge nurse or supervisor
