As the Imaging Technical Manager for Computed Tomography, you will oversee service excellence and create a safe patient-centered experience. The CT Tech Manager also ensures that all work produced and provided in the imaging environment is of outstanding quality and as efficient as possible. Continually evaluates section's workflow and harnesses changes in technology to reduce redundant processes and to eliminate those that have little value or are obsolete. Supervises and assesses the employees' understanding of regulatory compliance with current policies, procedures, regulations, and protocols. Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with health care team members, physician colleagues, patients and their families.
Summary of Essential Duties:
Critically evaluates and anticipates risks to patients, physicians, staff and others with the aim of preventing errors. Uses systems and technology that provide knowledge at the point of care to improve healthcare outcomes.
Provides leadership as a subject matter expert in the delivery of imaging practices within section and works with management to address issues identified with regard to quality of care standards. Coaches and supports Imaging staff in the application of their skills and critical thinking to support technical, clinical, and clerical activities. Rounds on patients/customers to ensure consistent application of imaging practice, service and quality standards.
Supervises staff, develops and implements action plans to improve performance. Recognizes staff performance and initiates management intervention guidelines when needed. Provides the Associate Director with input on the development and achievement of department goals and champions inter/intra departmental collaboration. Chairs recurring subdivision meetings that focus on performance, case studies and service excellence.
Creates, monitors, and tracks operating budgets.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Imaging/Radiology program required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Certifications/Licensure:
ARRT-R and CT certifications required
California Radiologic Tech certification required
BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CT Tech required
A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required
