Are you a hard-working and dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Oncology? We invite you to apply for an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Outpatient Ambulatory Float Nurse at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. In this vital role, you will have the chance to work in various outpatient oncology settings, ensuring top-quality care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Float Across Departments: Your versatility is key! You will float between infusion centers, exam areas, breast center, and radiation departments, providing crucial nursing support wherever it's needed most.
Patient-Centric Care: You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care plans, ensuring a broad approach tailored to the outstanding needs of oncology patients.
Collaboration & Partnership: Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive cancer care. Your input and expertise will give to improving patient outcomes and experiences.
Education & Support: Educate patients and their families about treatment options, potential side effects, and self-care strategies, empowering them on their journey to recovery.
Qualifications
Education:
Associates Degree/College Diploma required. Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing (state accredited program) preferred.
License/Certification:
Valid CA RN license required.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
National Recognized Specialty certification (i.e.: OCN or applicable national certification) preferred.
Three (3) years of RN experience in an acute care setting required. Three (3) years ofexperience in an Oncology specialty area high preferred. Two (2) years of critical care experience (i.e.: ED, PACU, ICU, Cath Lab, IR) highly preferred.
