Admissions Outreach Coordinator - Job Description
Role & Opportunities
Located in Foster City, Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School is a community day school for students from TK-8th grade. We are a warm and welcoming community with a collaborative team focused on bettering our school, supporting our students, and welcoming our families. Our Admissions Associate will be a key ambassador for Wornick, and will support the admissions process for all applicant families, as well as community engagement and outreach events. The Admissions Outreach Coordinator will report to the Director of Admissions & Community Engagement.
The Admissions Outreach Coordinator will have opportunities to support an admissions process for a growing applicant pool, partner with talented professional community members and students to attract and yield mission-matched families, and assist with key initiatives to support recruitment, outreach, and community engagement goals.
Key responsibilities include growing the admissions pipeline, increasing the number of inquiries, and visits, coordinating offsite coffees and gatherings with prospective preschool parents, growing partnerships with feeder schools, and leading social media content creation and posting. This role serves as a key ambassador for the school, building relationships with feeder schools and within the community, and helping guide families through the admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment. This role requires strong public speaking and interpersonal skills, and the ability to both work independently and collaboratively on various admissions and larger community engagement tasks and projects.

Essential Duties
Develop and execute strategies to attract, engage, and enroll prospective students and families from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Be responsible for growing the pool of prospective applicants by developing relationships with feeder schools and organizations to attract new applicants, holding coffees and gatherings at feeder schools and in the community, offsite events, and building a referral network.
Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective families at outreach events, providing information and guiding them through the admissions process with the Director of Admissions & Community Engagement.
Develop social media content and manage all social media channels for the school, with the specific goal of communicating the value of the school to current and prospective families and growing the number of inquiries.
Partner with the Communications & Marketing Manager to disseminate marketing materials at in person events, digitally, and through social media channels to increase awareness of the school and grow the number of inquiries and visits to the school.
Support the Admissions Associate and Director of Admissions & Community Engagement to execute successful on-campus recruiting events.
Working with the admissions team and school administration to give feedback from the community to adjust messaging to prospective families.
Take photos and videos for admissions and social media projects.
Welcome prospective families to the campus warmly. Act as an enthusiastic ambassador of our program to all current and potential stakeholders.
Support the admissions process and procedures, including tours, applicant observations, maintenance of applicant files and database of applicant information..
Represent Wornick and provide appropriate, accurate, and timely information to applicant families, community-based organizations, and educators.
Provide accurate and timely information to the professional community.
Revise and update admissions documents and reports as needed.
Support larger diversity goals for the school.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in communication, business, or marketing is preferred.
Proficient in Google Suite and CRM software.
Knowledge of the Jewish Community and Jewish Day Schools a bonus!
Non-profit experience preferred.
Must be able to clear a background check and history indicating ability to work with children.
