VA Central California Health Care System is currently seeking a full-time Dentist. This position is critical to the VA's mission to provide high-quality - Veteran-centered care.
Duties

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position
Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized The staff dentist is a very experienced and proficient oral health care provider whose scope of practice includes providing outpatient and inpatient general dental care - as well as performing other assigned duties involving education and administration
Major duties include - but are not limited to: Provides outpatient and inpatient general dental procedures in accordance with assigned clinical privileges
Provides patient education as appropriate
Communicates and interacts appropriately and courteously with internal and external customers
Maintains confidentiality of patient/employee information (electronic - verbal - written)
Provides technical clinical supervision to assigned dental assistant
Works in a safe manner as regards infection control - operation of equipment - etc
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is the largest integrated health care system in the United States, providing care at 1,321 health care facilities, including 172 VA Medical Centers and 1,138 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics) to over 9 million Veterans enrolled in the VA health care program.
